Last updated: 5 July 2026

Settle ("Settle", "we", "us") is an expense-splitting app that helps friends track shared costs and settle up. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices. Settle is operated by an individual developer (contact below), not a company.

What we collect

You give us:

From your device (only with your permission):

We do NOT collect: advertising identifiers, location, browsing history, or behavioral analytics. Settle contains no third-party advertising or analytics SDKs and does not track you across other apps or websites.

How we use it

We do not sell your data. We do not use it for advertising.

Who can see your data

We share data with these providers only as needed to operate Settle.

Data retention & deletion

Your data is kept while your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from within the app (Profile → Account → Delete account), which removes your profile and associated data. Some records may persist briefly in backups before being purged.

Security

Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) and access to your data is restricted by row-level security so that only you and your group members can read it.

Children

Settle is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Your rights

You can access, correct, or delete your information from within the app, or by contacting us. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights over your personal data.

Changes

We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
